Facebook

Well, this week, the woman has found a new website - Facebook.com. Facebook is a site where you can go and find, interact, and talk with people you know. Apparently, it is quite good at finding people you have known in the past and lets you get back in touch with them. It's one huge social website with over 60,000 users in the United States.

She seems to be having a great time on the thing so far. I see some minor signs of addiction though.. Though I am not one to complain, you know, with my Warcraft addiction. But I can tell, you see, since I did not get any dinner last night as the woman was on Facebook all evening! That's ok though, as long as she is having fun! Though, I may be buying more TV dinners soon...

How to build a Gundam

The Japanese always seem to do the cool and fun stuff. Honestly, they do things that we seem to think are not worth the time. Either that, or they sure are more fun and inventive than us, I hate to say.

You see, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the very successful animation, Gundam, they are, well, they are building a life size (59 feet!) Gundam battle mech in Tokyo!

If the Japanese were not limited militarily after World War II, I guarantee you that their obsession with robotic humanoid mecha would lead them to actually build real working versions of these things...

I ran across this on Gizmodo today. It is a wicked lapse image of the nights sky. Toward the end you can see the center of the Milky Way Galaxy come up into view. Amazing.

Hmm. The woman recently mentioned to me that I, apparently, add a lot of photos sexy women to my blogs. Looking back, I have to say she is right! But hey, who does not like looking at sexy women, right?

However, in an effort to appease the woman, today I will instead post an image of Star Wars bounty hunters!

Time keeps on slipping...

Yet another busy week. I can not wait until all of our closing stores, well, close already! We are having a huge increase in business, yet, we do not have the extra personnel yet, since they are still working at the closing stores. (these are Ritz Camera stores, for those who may not know. We are closing 400).

I just got word yesterday that they have expedited the liquidation and all of the closing stores will be closed by Tuesday the 19th - a mere five days away. So, that at least is a good thing for us. We will finally get more employees AND all of the business coming our way.

So, to spice up a fairly boring blog post.. (as I read back on it..) here is something to spice it up!

Green is good

So, the old shitty boss is out, and the new, apparently, very cool boss is in! Yay for that! Seems we may have a winner on our hands. Time will tell, of course.

So, the reviews are pouring in on the new Star Trek movie, which is sort of a reboot of the franchise, going back to the Kirk and Spock days. Apparently, the move is awesome! (For those interested, you can check out a solid review over at Aint-it-Cool-News.)

This is what you get though when you finally pull it out of the hands of the people who have burned the franchise into the ground over the past 15 years and give it to someone with a fresh outlook. God knows Voyager was garbage and Enterprise was unwatchable.

So, it seems I will have to go to the theatre and attempt to avoid the swine flu to go watch this new Trek movie. Plus, it has Orion Slave women in it! That makes it a must see!
