Legislating for the inherently stupid
Once again, we are legislating for the inherently stupid!
Seriously? Why must we always pander to the lowest common denominator in this country? If these lazy and or stupid people who are "unprepared" for the digital switch over are still not ready (after two years of this going into place) trust me, they will still not be ready in another 5 months!
From what I can understand so far though, is that the bill is not dictating a mandatory date. Which means, the cable companies can switch when they want... IF they want. I would hope this would be the case. Especially since I can not imagine, especially in our current economy, that the cable companies wish to continue support (and dumping money) into the old analog infrastructure any longer than they have to.
The U.S. Senate on Monday approved a June 12th date for transitioning to digital television broadcasting
