Moment of Truth

Well, this week has been hectic beyond all belief and I honestly can not believe that this week has gone by like the blink of an eye.

The big news is that Ritz Camera (where I work) who has been in Chapter 11 reorganization, has come to a decision to sell off its remaining 375 stores at auction on July 20th! Basically, they have no cash and they still have not been released from all the damn leases for the 400 stores they already liquidated back in May. So... sell off.

This can go a few ways. It seems the current owner is attempting to get a group together to purchase his own company (not sure how that works).. or another group could end up buying it, then God knows what will go on with that. Finally, liquidators could end up buying it, then its total game over. Either way, whatever happens, D-Day is set for June 20th.. which is just next week!

I suppose, worst case, I could use a small paid vacation...
