Creative failure

Creative Labs has long been one of the largest manufacturers of sound cards for computers, despite that fact that they can be sometimes glitchy, either hardware or software wise. Apparently, their Windows Vista drivers for their new line of sound cards are far from perfect. They lack quite a few features found under the Windows XP versions. Creative has not moved to produce new drivers to fix all of the issues. However, someone else has...

User "Daniel_K" took it upon himself to create new Creative drivers for Vista that worked and fixed all the issues. He became a savior to many a Creative card user. His reward for this? Creative Labs kicking him in the nuts.

Today Creative Labs directed Daniel_K to stop creating and distributing his version of the drivers as, according to Creative, it is illegal to do so.

Holy crap Creative! You can't get off your ass to make drivers that work to the point that the issue becomes so great that a lone individual has to to step in and make ones that do work. Then, you go stop on him for doing your job, for free! Amazing!

Creative users and the computer world in general is abuzz with Creatives failure and arrogance. Quite a few Creative users are pissed off and abanding Creative products over this issue.

Daniel_K even posted in the thread directed at him by Creative, he noted that "Creative was faster at "protecting [its] technologies and intellectual properties than providing improved drivers and software for [its] customers."

Great job Creative, I think it will be interesting see how much this issue that has just blown up in your face will cost you over the next few months.

LIAR!

I just love this one. Since it obvious to most that the Clinton's are just two huge lying sacks of crap - though oblivious to others - its awesome when they caught in one of their huge lies!

Hillary Clinton is not to be trusted. She is only out for her own personal gains at the expense of YOU, the people of the United States! So, moving right along...

CBS news just caught Hillary in a huge lie as she attempted to build herself up. She gets owned good on this one. Think to yourself folks, if you already know this person is such an out right liar, why oh why would you ever want her in a position of power leading our country?

Check it out.. good stuff.

The things you find late at night

Alright, so.. I am cruising the web tonight and I see a story on South Park. South Park, for those of you who live in a cave, is an animated show on Comedy Central. Anyways, the main point of the story was that they are now offering - legally - all the South Park episodes online! This, is WAY cool. Props to the South Park guys.

Now, anyone who has seen the show will know they have a very recognizable animation character style. Here is a shot of the main cast:

Now, what really caught my eye on the website was this little character creator! Once I started playing with it, I found it be pretty extensive. Not to mention, quite fun!

So, without further ado... here is the Woman, South Park style! HA!

Preaching Hate

So, if you are watching the news at all, you will be aware of what has recently come to light. What that is, of course, is the fact that Barack Obama's pastor and long time friend, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, is a hate monger. This is the pastor that Obama has gone to for twenty years - 20 years! The pastor who married him and baptized his children.

So, let us review. Here are some quotes from Rev. Wright. These are all documented in video.

* "The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing 'God Bless America.' No, no, no, God damn America, that's in the Bible for killing innocent people. God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme."

* "Barack knows what it means to be a black man to be living in a country and a culture that is controlled by rich white people. Hillary can never know that. Hillary ain't never been called a nigger."

* “We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America’s chickens are coming home to roost.”

WOW! Just WOW! Unbelievable.

So, we now know through his own words that this "Reverend" Wright is a preacher of hate. Now, what we all have to ask ourselves and look at is the very simple fact that Obama has been attending his sermons for twenty years and apparently has not found anything inappropriate in them for him to stop going! Simply, Obama must agree and must be just as jaded and, yes - Anti-American as this pastor of his.

America, wake up and look! We have a person who is attempting to become the President of the United States who has NO ISSUE with believing that America is evil. "God damn America" ?

In Obama's "recovery" speech today, in an attempt to explain all this, he said:

"I can no more disown him (Wright) than I can disown the black community. I can no more disown him than I can disown my white grandmother..."

Another WOW. He even refuses to attempt to distance himself from this preacher of hate!

So America, watch out. If you are too stupid or ignorant, the next President of the United States could be someone who hates the country he is leading. Wouldn't that be fun.

Out with the old....

Hmm, pretty surprising news here. The Air Force has announced that it will be retiring the F-117 Nighthawk stealth aircraft. Apparently they are retiring it to make way, cost wise, for its (and the F-15 Eagles) replacement - the F-22 Raptor.

Being a huge aviation buff, this is one of those aircraft I just hate to see taken out of inventory. The F-117 first entered service, secretly, in 1981. There were lots of rumblings in the aviation world at the time of "something" being out there - some type of "stealth" aircraft, but no one had proof. The Air Force denied everything for seven years then, in 1988, they finally admitted the F-117's existance.

I remember first seeing the F-117 on static display - one of its first - back in the early '90's at the Dayton International Airshow. I could just not stop staring at it, it was just amazing. It is an aircraft that never fails to impress. It's really a shame to see such a milestone of aviation go into mothballs.

However, newer and more advanced technology is always around the corner. The F22 Raptor cometh...

Client No. 9

Ah, an interesting tidbit of news. Most of you, I am sure, have seen in the news that New York State Gov. Eliot Spitzer got busted this week for hiring prostitutes. Yep, yep. Shame on him. Wife, kids, government office.. what a dumbass.

Now, the biggest crime of this whole debacle is what this idiot PAID for his action! $4300.00... for one night, or event, or whatever. But $4300.00!! Are you insane?! First, no chick is worth that for a romp. Second, bro, really.. you can go to any bar or college campus and get it for free, or at the least, a few hundred tops for a starving student trying to pay the bills.

No wonder our spending is out of control! We have people in government office who think $4300.00 for a hooker is a good deal!

Critical Strike

Sad news out of the gaming world - Gary Gygax, co-creater the fantasy game Dungeons & Dragons, has died.

Dungeons & Dragons - despite the stigma some people hold it up to - is a fantastic game. I have some of my fondest memories of getting together with many friends, to sit around a room with pizza and dew and just play all night. Fun times. Some of the best, actually.

Of course, it has to be said that D&D started the Roleplay gaming revolution. A revolution, which has reached its current apex via technology - Ultima Online, Everquest and, of course, World of Warcraft. Instead of a few friends around a table, there are now millions of people worldwide playing. Have to say though, you can not replace the camaraderie and direct interaction that D&D offers.

So, Gary, thanks for the fun times.

We all fail that savings throw at some point.

Improv Everywhere

Hmm, been another one of those weeks that has just blurred the hell by! It's like I lose complete tracks of time to a mysterious vortex.

I ran across this website this week. Really clever and funny ass stuff. It's a website called Improv Everywhere. It's organized by a few folks who gather a lot more folks to go places and do some, well, unusual and funny things as a group. They record and photograph everything during the "mission". Needless to say, the results are very fun to watch.

So, you are walking through a large area with lots of people traveling through it when, suddenly, half of the people stop dead in there tracks, frozen for minutes... check it out..
