Oh Really?

They just held the Miss Universe pageant yesterday I think. But what I think is the biggest news out of that whole thing is the fact that "Miss USA was booed mercilessly at the Miss Universe pageant by a Mexican audience angry at U.S. immigration policy."

Now, I have touched on the whole immigration issue before. To summarize it again, stay the fuck out of country! The Mexican government doesn't give two craps about all of its citizens running across the border into the US. Let's call it what it is - an invasion. Like any invasion, it needs to be stopped.

I am not sure who is paying off our government, but they seem to be happy to sit and do nothing about this issue. It's time to build a damn wall, set up a minefield, and put the military on the border. If you cross into our country illegally.. we kill you!

Getting back to the "booing" incident, I think it just goes to show how entitled the Mexicans think they are. "OH, the US does not want us to come illegally into its country, screw them! We are going to anyway!" To the point that they boo Miss US? It's stupid and ridiculous! Not to mention how bad that woman must have felt thinking she is up in the spotlight of the world only to get booed at by a bunch of fucks.

So, today's big FUCK YOU goes out to Mexico and the ILLEGAL (yes, they are illegal) immigrants. Don't hand me any of this "undocumented worker" bullshit...

*waits impatiently for the day of walls and land mines*

A Long Time Ago...

A Long Time Ago...

That is how it started 30 years ago today. May 25, 1977 was the release of Star Wars which, of course, went on to become a world wide phenomenon.

I remember seeing it as a kid. I am sure my Dad took me that first time (of the total 27...) I remember the intro, with the starscreen and crawl. It was followed by a spaceship flying over head and away from the screen, being attacked by something as yet unseen. Then the pursuing ship appeared. It passed over head.. and it kept on coming. You thought it was going to end at some point, but it did not for what seemed like an eternity. The thing was friggin huge and it blew me away! It blew the audience away. I can remember hearing a collective gasp at what we were seeing. That was the opening scene that grabbed everyone and let them know "this is something special".

I lived and breathed Star Wars from then on. It was just a fantastic thing growing up.

Hmm.. as a side story.. I would like to point out that when The Empire Strikes Back was released, my chode of a cousin, John, came over to our house after seeing the movie. He walked into the door and proclaimed "Wow! Darth Vader is Luke's father!"

Of course, I had not seen the movie yet.

So John, in case you are reading this, I never told you all these years, but a big Fuck You to you for ruining that for me. Friggin asshat.

Time to pull the chute

Well, I have had it. I can take it no more. The constant and worsening "slave labor" concept of my company has thrown me over the edge! I simply can not fucking take it anymore! Last minute changes to schedules costing me my days off, bullshit decisions to increase store hours in hopes of garnering more business when we are already dead during the "extended" hours we already use, plus a boss who can't fucking remember his name has all done me in!

I simply hope I can find a new job before I just go totally fucking postal one day and up and walk out!

I'll see yours, if you see mine

I am not much of a movie buff. At least in the fact that I tend t be very specific regarding what movies I will actually choose to see in the major rip offs known as movie theaters. I think I may see two or three movies a year in a theater.

Why is this you may ask? Well, one, I think the majority of movies that are being produced really suck, really badly. Second, they have to be really good for me to drop down like $30.00 bucks to get stuck in a theater with the general populace. (eeew, I hate you all)

Now, on the other hand, my woman loves to see movies in the theaters! Loves it! I tell you! She loves going to see movies (usually bad ones).

So, when a movie comes out that I have interest in... My woman knows she has me. Today I after watching the Transformers trailer... I mentioned, hmm, that looks interesting, I would not mind seeing that. Right away she counters with "I will go with you to see that, if you come with me to see Shrek the Third!"

You see, it becomes sort of a bargaining tool at this point. So now I need to decide if seeing one movie is worth the brunt of the seeing the second movie. Though, she certainly could have picked a worse movie than Shrek. I think the key here will be to make sure we go late at night, to avoid the walking contagions of children that are bound to be there during the day.

The trappings of a workaholic

The Woman and I took both sets of the parents out to Mimi's Cafe yesterday for a Mothers Day dinner! A nice time was had by all. Mimi's ended up taking forever to bring us our orders (not that we even noticed though) and as compensation gave me $90.00 in gift certificates to use at the restaurant! So, big time kudos to Mimi's Cafe up in Desert Ridge Scottsdale for hooking us up big time!

On the work front, well, it has become quite ... repetitive. It seems it's the same damn thing day in and day out. Get up, go in, sell, keep the focus up, make sure everyone does what they are suppose to, deal with stupid customers... and now that I look at what I typed, it strikes me that is not just the repetitiveness of it, it is the damn AMOUNT of stuff that needs to be done in a day! This crap is burning me out!

I actually noticed today that every single one of my crew takes more vacation time and time off in a damn month than I do all year. Well, that is going to stop right now. Why am I busting my ass so much? Sure, I am the store manager and need to make things run right, but still! I deserve time to myself as well. So, my new focus is to make sure I put my vacation time to good use and take some extra time off every month. Because me working the amount I do at the rate I do, just ain't doing any good for my mental health.

Today was fairly mundane

Today I had to attend the third installment of "Ritz Manager Training" or, as I like to refer to it, "total fucking waste of my day". I do not know why they hold a three part series of this completely worthless and boring class but they do and I am forced to attend. The trainer is the worst part of the whole thing. Not only is he boring as all hell, but he wants to rattle on about some fucking story or anecdote every 10 minutes. I swear, if he would just shut up and stay on topic, we would be done like 3 hours earlier.

Anyways, I just got off the phone with Cox Cable. It seems in an effort to reduce the amount of spam people get or receive, they have disabled my (and, apparently, many others) ability to send out emails with attachments to multiple recipients! Great spam filter guys! You think they would test this stuff out before throwing it out live.

On the more amusing side of things, Paris Hilton is going to jail for her DUI! Wow, talk about a shock to the system for her, eh? To make the topic ten times more amusing, she has petitioned Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger for a pardon to here 45 day jail sentance on the grounds that she "provides hope for young people all over the US and the world. She provides beauty and excitement to (most of) our otherwise mundane lives" !!

There you go folks, you are all Mundanes compared to Paris Hilton! Well, I will take my fairly mundane life instead of jaily kind of mundane....

My Eyes!

Well, yay, another day off! Though, this one is sucking so far! I simply can not get my shit together and get rolling yet. I wanted to be done with my days errands by now, but I am not even anywhere ready to leave the house yet. Fucking sucks! What sucks more is, that lately, my days off feel less like than days off and more like minor interludes between more work.

I realized I have been crying a lot this morning. At first, I thought it was because of the horrible start to my day. But then I realized, no... it's friggin alergies! The dumb cats are sneezing too.. GAH! Damn allergies! Rarely do I get allergies that make me tear constantly.. very weird and annoying.

So, battle plan for today: Store (which I seem to be at like every other day. I think I need to relearn how to shop) then back here to attempt to relax. I think some World of Warcraft is in order. If I can manage to see the screen through these eyes of mine.
