Rest and Relaxation

Today I am celebrating my first real day off in two weeks. I must say, it is going WAY to fast already

Christmas was fun, though exhausting. The woman and I spent time with the family, of course. You can ask for no better company, that is for sure. Plus there is the food. My God, the FOOD! I think I have left overs for a week or more. One of my co-workers is quite amused. Especially since I owe him a lunch out, yet keep coming in for leftovers. I told him he was out of luck until my food stores ran out.

As for the gifting part, I scored nicely! The woman and I seem to have improved greatly on our gift giving over the years. The first Christmas was a disaster, though, an amusing disaster that we both look back at now and laugh. She got me some silly ugly ass water fountain and I think I got her a damn Christmas candle or a raw steak or something. God that was bad.

On the computer side of things, it was announced this week that World of Warcraft - the massive mulitplayer online game from - has reached the 5 million player mark world wide! Want a break down? 1 out of every 1200 human beings on the planet plays World of Warcraft. That's even a bit more impressive when you realize that it is currently only playable from North America, Europe, Asia, & Austrailia. As one of the 1 out of 1200, I can tell you that Warcraft is something that needs to be seen and experienced to be believed. The graphics, depth, and gameplay are astounding. Hmmm, that reminds me, think I need to go run some errands so I can get back here and play! It's my day off!

I'm baaack!

Phew, ok, finally. Damn holidays are almost over!

Sorry to be so cynical, but c'mon, deep down you know I am right. The Christmas holidays have turned into just a huge commercialized buying fest that causes people to go broke and insane. Unless you are on the retail end, of course, then you end up rich but exhausted and with a new found hatred of people!

Plus, it Christmas was based originally on a Pagan holiday from what I have read, so God probably hates you for celebrating it! Yeah, think about THAT for a second!

Anyways, after this week I plan to start taking some extra days off - yay for me! Cuz as of know, I kinda feel like this guy:

HAHAHA! OUCH! Damn, that's gotta sting!

Since it is Christmas and all, the Pope seems to have joined in the spirit (my woman says not to pick on the Pope, but God help me, how can I not?!) Because, this Pope has to be one of the scariest damn Popes in thousand years! Tell me that children will not flee en masse from this:

I mean, wow, that is one scary looking Pope! Should the Pope be that scary? Whoa

So, I am off to get in some MUCH need World of Warcraft game time. Before heading over to the family later today for more Pagan Holiday revelry which will include, but not be limited to, food beyond belief.

So, Merry Pagan.. err, Christmas to you all and see you on the day after for all those returns!

As the days blur into one

Alright, is it over yet? Really! C'mon already!

Damn, this whole week is turning into one long day. Guess that happens when you have no days off! Good money, but damn, starting to feel the pain of no rest and relaxation, ya know? I can also tell I am getting a bit more edgy, as those annoying customers I usually laugh at and just ignore I am becoming more prone to tell them just how stupid they are to their face!

"Yeah, we are sold out of that because it's been advertised for two weeks and you chose to show up a few days before Christmas!"

See, stuff like that. But it's true! They are idiots. Don't complain to me cuz all the shit you want is sold out a few days before Christmas.

Which, sorta leads me back to myself, as I have had zero time to go shopping. I had planned to go on my day off last week. Unfortuantely I spent that day being sick. Figures, eh?

Then Christmas will finally arrive and I will still not have a day off! Sure, I will get to hang out with family and be fed well, but honestly, I would rather just sleep all day. I guess sleeping will have to wait until the new year.

The cute animal ploy

Alright, alright, I know, I know!

Few and far between for posts in this last half of December. Sorry about that, it will get better after the holidays are over. It is tough to post when my day consists of working until sundown followed by an evening of exhaustion.

So, since I had such a huge response from this ploy last time, I will use it again!

In lieu of valuable posting content, please take your time and enjoy this cute kitty!

Don't waste your time

The days are starting to blur together. Honestly, it feels like I just did an update two days ago. I hate having long lulls in updates! It will get better after the holiday are over I am sure.

I ran across this headline the other day:

"Fissure Could Become New Ocean" in an article you can find here.

"Wow, holy shit" I thought. That would be wild. The scientists are all giddy about this being the forming of a "new ocean". Pretty cool, right? Until you read further down into the story where it states "it will take a million years to form an ocean"...

OK, I gave you some room there to think. Did that sink in yet? What the fuck?! A million years?! Who God damn cares at that point!! To make things even funnier, they go on to state how they are setting up camp to "observe" the phenomenon!! Wow, what a SUCK ASS job that has to be!

"Hey, Bob, what ya doing tomorrow? Lets go out and do something."
"Sorry, Jim, can't. Watching the fissure that's going to form a new ocean in a million years."
"You are a big asshat, Bob."

The Holidays approach. Run while you can!

Damn! Has it been a week already? Well, it sure feels like it! Hell, I am beat. Friggin holidays! Remember folks, the holidays are coming, so...

Ahem.

Moving right along.

I have had a damn headache for the past 24 hours. I am thinking sinus mixed with stress. Therefore sinus pills and asprin both help, but neither seem to cure. *sigh*

I ran across this article last night. Which is all the more fitting since I had to deal with an issue today in the store. The article is about parents letting their little spawn run around uncontested in a store or shop. What the fuck is with you people? Not only is it dangerous for your children, but show some respect for the shop owners!

I had some mother in today who was busy printing photos while her child ran around the store grabbing everything in sight and dragging it around to locations unknown. Ya know, show some respect. We work hard to keep the place organized and clean. Not to mention the inconvenience to the other customers in the store. I walked up to the woman and told her outright. "Ma'm, will you restrain your child." Which she promptly did with appologies, sticking the little grabber into it's stroller. But, WHY not do that from the start? People annoy me.

I updated my cell phone this week too! I normally don't give a rats ass about cell phones, but we ended having one on clearance for $50.00. All I had to do was stick my sim card into it and I was off and running. So, $200.00 phone for $50.00. I couldn't resist. Now I just have to find an Invader Zim theme song ringtone for it and I am set.

Behold the new hotness!
